YICHU 1.0

YICHU 1.0 is an immersive audiovisual live performance and Moving Images by artist Yichu Li.

Blurring the boundary between reality and simulation, the work stages a ritualistic battle between Yichu and her AI-generated alter ego. Mixing DJ/VJ sets with digital stage design, YICHU 1.0 is a cyberfeminist manifesto that explores themes of identity, consciousness, memory, and transformation in the age of artificial intelligence.

The experience unfolds like a digital myth — red-lit womb worlds, glitching goddesses, and machine-gaze spectatorship — inviting the audience to ask: Who holds power in a world shaped by technology?
